What are the features of your home that you really enjoy? We really enjoy how much room there is for friends and family, with 3 BR and 3 BA, and 1700 sq. ft. We have plenty of room for 5 grandchildren and 6 adults. We enjoy the screened in porch.
Tell us about your neighborhood. The neighborhood is paradise. It is quiet and gated. In the back yard there is the Bon Secour River, Oyster Bay, Intracoastal Waterway,Bon Secour Bay, Mobile Bay, and Plash Island. You can go anywhere in the world from here by boat. Bring your boat, jet skis, kayak, canoes, sailboat, or anything that will float. The boat launch is right up the street with trailer parking. Our own huge boat slip. Our lower dock deck with lifts for jet skies, etc..Right out your back door.
What do you love about your town? Beautiful white sand beaches are what our town is known for. Our slogan is BIG BEACH/SMALL TOWN. Longest fishing pier on the Gulf Of Mexico. Our State Park has golf course, walking and bicycle trails to enjoy. A sanctuary of birds, wildlife, flowers, and plants, only seen in this area.
Where do you love to eat? By boat we love to eat at Tacky Jacks or Lu Lu's or GinnyLane's. We love the Diner, Diamond Jim and Ms. Donna's, King Neptune and Shrimp Basket. There are many other wonderful places to eat.
Grocery stores and other conveniences? Publix is about 7 minutes away, Rouses is about 12 minutes away, Target is about 8 minutes, Happy Harbour Restaurant, oyster bar/lounge 1 minute, Tanger outlet and other shopping 15 minutes.
What other things do you love or enjoy about the area? The world's most beautiful beaches just minutes away. Beautiful sunsets from our window or balcony or pier. Watching the dolphins play, the mullet jumping, the pelicans and herons diving. Watching boats from yachts to kayaks coming and going, especially the shrimp boats. Enjoy fishing off the pier, crabbing, fresh shrimp right off the boat. Our grandchildren love the zoo, public playground, Waterville, The Track, Putt Putt golf, library and other activities too numerous to mention. We love worshipping at Oyster Bay Baptist Church which is 4 minutes away on Plash Island.
Anything else, neighborhood amenities? We like to sit on the docks, relax in jetted hot tub, swim in our beautiful covered pool. We use our exercise room which has TV's and a view of the pool.
What are your monthly utility cost and with whom? Electric approx. 120.00 month. This is our only utility bill.
HOA Information: Our HOA is made up of Bay John Owners, with Peter Burke, attorney from Birmingham serving as our president. This Board of Directors looks out for the owners best interest and are reasonable to deal with. Dues are 515.00 a month.
